Helen Yung-sze Faith, M.S., FAAC®, joined the University of Virginia as the Associate Vice Provost for Enrollment and Student Financial Services in August 2024.
Full Bio
She leads an integrated leadership team in Student Financial Services that works together to ensure that students and families receive the financial information, tools, and support they need to enroll and thrive at UVA. She has 25 years of higher education experience in financial aid, enrollment, and student affairs, and has previously worked at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Lane Community College, University of Western States, Oregon Health & Science University, Portland State University, and University of California, Santa Cruz.
She has served in numerous leadership and volunteer roles at the state, regional, and national levels, most recently as National Chair of the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators. She has also participated in Negotiated Rulemaking with the US Department of Education and has collaborated with several higher education organizations on financial aid research and analysis projects.
Helen holds a bachelor’s degree in literature from UC Santa Cruz, a master’s degree in education from Portland State, and has taken doctoral courses at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Helen is passionate about financial aid and higher education as critical engines for social change and economic mobility.
