Macy Lenox serves as Special Advisor on Admission and Strategy, where she leads and develops strategic projects and major initiatives that have the potential to improve and transform how the University recruits and evaluates students.

Macy also partners with internal and external Enrollment stakeholders to advance the University's mission, foster transparency, and build strategic connections. 

Macy joined the Office of Undergraduate Admission in 2008 and has served the office in many capacities, most recently as Associate Dean for Strategic Initiatives and Associate Dean of On Grounds Programming. During her time at UVA, she has served on the Jefferson Scholar selection committee, the Echols Advisory Board and the Women’s Leadership Council. 

With over twenty-five years of experience in college admission, Macy previously served as Assistant Director of Admission at Mount Holyoke College, Admission Officer at Harvard College, Associate Director at Princeton University and as a part-time Senior Admission Counselor at Duke University. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia and holds master’s degrees from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and Teachers College, Columbia University.
